Guidlines and Application Process

To learn more about WGF grant guidelines and application process please review the newly updated Grant Guidelines (see below) appropriate to your funding needs. Then, follow the step-by-step grant application process specific to the type of funding you will be applying for.

1. Discretionary Grants -provide support for time-sensitive systemic change projects requesting less than $2,500.

2. Events Support Grants - provide support for special events, artistic exhibitions, and theatrical productions. Grants do not exceed $10,000.

3. Project Support Grants - provide support for large scale initiatives aiming at achieving long-term systemic change in SWPA. Average grant ranges between $5,000 and $20,000.

New! Conference Call Grant Workshops

Throughout 2008, on the last Thursday of every month, we will hold conference call grant workshops to help potential grantees learn more about WGF grantmaking and to provide tips for successful grant proposals. During these hour-long workshops, WGF Program Staff will review the PowerPoint presentation How to Apply for a Women and Girls Foundation Grant and answer the questions you may have. We strongly recommend you participate in this call if you are interested in applying for WGF funding.

Send an e-mail to WGF Program Officer Adriana Dobrzycka (adriana@wgfpa.org) indicating your name, your organization’s name and the date of the conference call workshop you are interested in. Please send your registration e-mails no later than the Tuesday before the conference call workshop is held. You will receive a confirmation e-mail with the conference call details.
